The U15 AAA Greater Vancouver Canadians closed out their regular-season schedule by splitting their two games at Kelowna’s MNP Place, beating the Okanagan Rockets 3-2 on Saturday before losing to them 4-2 on Sunday.

The Canadians finished the regular season fifth in the U15 standings, with a final record of 12-15-1-2 for 27 points.

On Saturday, Okanagan jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but the Canadians struck for three straight goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation for the 3-2 win. Evan Borisoff had two of those goals, including the game-winner with only 1:15 remaining in the contest.

With the score 2-0 in the third, Borisoff scored with 10:09 left to put GVC on the scoreboard. Owen Chivers then tied things up 2-2 with only 4:30 left. Then, with the Canadians on a late power play thanks to a head contact penalty against the Rockets, Borisoff notched the game-winner with 75 seconds to go. D’Angelo Brual picked up the win in goal for GVC, improving his record to 6-6-1-1.

On Sunday, the Rockets jumped out to another two-goal lead, but this time they hung on for the 4-2 win. Princeton Vuong and William Trolland scored for the Canadians.
