U15 Canadians Open 2025-26 Season With Four Games in Langley Showcase

The U15 AAA Greater Vancouver Canadians opened their 2025-26 regular season with four games from Friday to Sunday (Sept. 19-21), as the entire U15 league took part in a season-opening showcase at Langley Twin Rinks.


The Canadians dropped all four games, managing just two goals and suffering two shutout losses at the hands of the Cariboo Cougars.


On Friday, GVC lost 5-0 to Cariboo to kick off its season. Ryder Cook played well between the pipes for the Canadians, making 23 saves.


On Saturday, the Canadians lost both games they played, 6-1 to the Okanagan Rockets and 7-1 to the Thompson Blazers. Jack Mah Ming scored both goals for the Canadians, with both being unassisted. In the Rockets game, AJ Kwok made 36 saves as GVC was outshot 42-10.


On Sunday, the final day of the showcase weekend, the Canadians lost 3-0 to the Cougars, but AJ Kwok played well in goal with 44 saves including 16 in a scoreless third period. 


The U15 Canadians will take on the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Abbotsford Centre, and their first home game at the Richmond Oval is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, at 4:15 p.m. against Fraser Valley. Live coverage of both games will be available on playfullscreen.com.
